Case study
Making crypto make sense without making it boring.
DegennPeter is a character-led crypto media brand I built from zero for retail audiences. Two recurring personalities turn market events, product mechanics, and trader psychology into short, meme-native stories that teach without feeling like a lesson.
Follow on Instagram ↗Retail traders don't experience crypto as a set of definitions. They experience it emotionally: FOMO, hope, panic, greed, the belief that the next trade changes everything. Those feelings are far easier to explain through characters and conflict than through charts.
So each video plays out like a tiny story: a market moment drops, one character reacts the way most retail traders would, the other pushes back with what's really going on, and the explanation lands inside the joke. If people enjoy the story, they stay long enough to understand the idea.
I handled the entire content system: identifying ideas, researching the topic, writing and refining scripts, directing the creative, editing videos, publishing, responding to the audience, and analysing performance.
I used AI during ideation and early script development to explore more angles quickly, then rewrote and polished every script myself to keep the humour, timing, and voice human.
A repeatable storytelling system built around retail psychology, character conflict, and a clear payoff.
Open with a market move, new token, bad trade, or emotional reaction the audience recognises immediately.
One character responds like a typical retail trader. The second challenges the assumption.
The real explanation lands inside the argument, so the audience learns without feeling lectured.
A punchline closes the loop and gives people a reason to share, comment, or watch the next episode.
Recurring characters gave the brand a familiar identity instead of relying on disconnected one-off posts.
Conflict created an immediate story and gave viewers a reason to stay for the resolution.
Retail emotions made technical ideas easier to understand and remember.
Comments, recurring questions, and market conversations became ideas for future episodes.
Character-led crypto content covering market psychology, products, risk, community culture, and real-time events. My role: scripts, creative direction, editing, and publishing.
I build brands and audiences from zero, and turn complex ideas into short-form stories that get watched, remembered, and shared.
